Cadets of Faculty of investigators took part in the academic stage of the antinarcotic plays competition “Mission to Live!”

The academic stage of the contest of anti-drug productions under the auspices of the the primary organization of the NGO "Belarusian Republican Youth Union" "Mission to Live!" was held on March 19 in the assembly hall of the faculty of militia. As the organizers themselves note, the goal of this competition is to involve children of all ages in the prevention of bad habits and popularize a healthy lifestyle. According to the first secretary of the Minsk Municipal Committee of the BRYU Sergey Klishevich, lectures with an abundance of figures and statistics are not so well absorb by adolescents as information submitted in an unusual format.
All the faculties presented their performances to the audience and the impassive jury. The cadets of faculty showed their vision of the drug problem by adapting the excerpt from the play "The Hotel of Two Worlds" by the French playwright Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt for this issue. What happens on the stage can be put into one phrase: "To start living, sometimes you need to die." Heroes, collected on a small patch of mystical hotel, live their real life, being in a coma.
In the hotel of two worlds there are souls of heroes from different social strata and with different destinies, which, in one way or another, were influenced by addiction to alcohol and drugs. During the production, the main characters realize that they have lived their lives somehow wrong. They had so many opportunities, they had so much love and a desire to live, but alcohol and drugs, as a means of avoiding problems, drove them into a coma, thereby becoming the key to a peculiar purgatory-the hotel of two worlds. In it, their souls wait, that the doctors will save the life of the body, and then the elevator will take the soul down, back to Earth, or the body will not be saved and the lift will lift the soul upward, into the next world. Having received a place in the hotel, and thus a chance to look at their lives from the outside, the main characters in the performance of the cadets, rethought their way of life.
"Cadets, like future law enforcers, understand the importance of such events, because the problem of drug addiction and the popularization of bad habits among adolescents has become more relevant than ever. With our staging, we wanted to show everyone from another angle these harmful habits and how they are capable of destroying human destinies in an instant, "noted Margarita Pretkel, a participant in the competition, the cadet of the 3rd course of the faculty of investigators.
BRYU intends to intensify the work on the prevention of drug abuse in social networks, to promote fashion for a healthy lifestyle through activities for the development of youth and children's sports. Cooperation will continue with law enforcement and health agencies on the activities of youth law enforcement units.
